The Firm
The Curzon Partnership was set up to be different. The aim of the founding partners was to create a top-tier, client-focused, partner-driven, boutique firm that quickly became highly regarded in the senior executive search sector.

Twelve years on, Curzon is an extremely successful business located in the heart of London. We serve clients throughout the UK and internationally. Working in a close knit, flat structure, the Curzon team now comprises eight Partners from an interesting diversity of backgrounds and with in-depth expertise in a number of key sectors and specialist areas. Hands on involvement of the Partners at all stages of the search process

Curzon is a leading member firm of IIC Partners, currently ranked eighth by professional fee billings amongst the top global search groups. We are ably supported by our Advisory board members who are leaders from the sectors in which we specialise.

The Role
Strong growth of the Professional and Financial Services practices creates the need for two dynamic Consultants with wide-ranging experience in:

  1. Legal search
  2. Some areas within (but not restricted to) any of:
    • professional accounting or consulting firms
    • restructuring
    • private banking
    • private equity
    • corporate finance

You will work closely with Sam Bell, the Practice Leader and will leverage off his wide contact network in order to win and execute new business and rapidly develop and grow your own Practice. We are hands-on and really enjoy life at Curzon. You will thus be confident in your ability to run a complete search and win both new and repeat business. You will have the character and professionalism to allow you to participate productively in a range of marketing and business development activities and indeed to instigate and run some of these. You will thoroughly enjoy the culture, quality and atmosphere at Curzon and will relish the opportunity to grow with this vibrant business. Your aim will be to develop rapidly towards partnership and to be rewarded for achievement as part of a successful and growing business.

The Candidate
A graduate, you will have worked successfully within a Financial or Professional Services environment for a number of years and will either have gained experience in an Executive Search environment or will have made the decision to do so. Personable and insightful, you will be comfortable interacting with a wide range of people at all levels from these sectors. Enthusiastic and committed to outstanding client service, you will gain the respect not only of candidates and potential clients but also of your peers, in this way helping to build and strengthen these rapidly growing practices at Curzon. A team player, keen to contribute to every aspect of the business, you will enjoy the management style which emphasises initiative, responsibility and flair. You will thus be keen to join this dynamic, friendly and open team, enjoying a sensible work/life balance and growing with it to follow a very rewarding career in executive search.

Remuneration
Excellent base salary with a significant discretionary bonus.

CURZON CONSULTANTS

Consultants in Curzon work closely with one of the partners and focus on one of the core specialist areas. Whilst the partners bear the principal burden of business development, the role of the consultant is to manage all aspects of the recruitment process including client and candidate logistics, interviewing and assessment. These positions make an excellent career step both for researchers ready to move up to a full interviewing and assessment role and for seasoned consultants from more junior firms, ready to step up in seniority.

We are also interested in hear from very experienced consultants who have the business development flair to join us at or near partner level and who can develop a new specialist area for the firm.

Qualifications
You will be a thoroughly experienced and creative recruiter with several years’ exposure to the retained executive search market. This may have been as a researcher or as a consultant. Alternatively, you may bring experience from a successful career in industry or commerce, with a flair for people and a desire to enjoy the high level or personal freedom available to the search world. To enjoy working in The Curzon Partnership you will need to entrepreneurial, relaxed, unstuffy, unbureaucratic and team oriented.

The Rewards
No-one has ever left The Curzon Partnership for more money. Compensation is entirely in cash with an excellent base salary and, for these consultant positions, a bonus based on the overall profitability of the relevant specialist area. The basis for the bonus each year is clearly set out and agreed by all concerned.
